Emil Beaudoin – Biography

Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Emil Beaudoin. I’ve been a member of Yukon Learn for 25 years. I became a member in 1983 when Yukon Learn was located at Peacock Sales building on the corner of Hansen Street and Second Avenue. What does Literacy mean to me? Being Literate means that a person can read and write, more doors are open to you. You can do more things and have better goals in life. I did my grade 11 and 12 GED through Yukon College and also through Thompson Education Direct (International Career School), and got a certificate. I’ve done some math on the Plato computers; I wish we could get the Plato computers running again. It was a useful tool to have. Now I’ve started taking some bible courses, I’ve taken a bible aptitude test at Bethany Tabernacle and got 96%. I have also completed a course through the Billy Graham Ministries. I’ve also completed a preaching and teaching course with 74%, and a bible course and got 81%, and done another bible course and got 87% and a certificate. I’ve done some other bible courses through the Bible University and I did 5 courses so far and my average is 93%. I would like to become a pastor or a Christian councilor. I recently started to work on my writing as I need to work on it more with my tutor. I am going to take some more computer bible courses. I would like to thank Yukon Learn society for the many years of programs and services in the Yukon communities and for Yukon Learn for being a good charitable association.

Thank you and God bless you all.
