Yukon Learn Society!

The Yukon Learn Society was duly registered as a society under the Societies Act of the Yukon on August 19, 1983.

The Vision of Yukon Learn Society is:

To be known as the Yukon Society that provides free, quality adult literacy services and programs to Yukon.

Our Mandate is:

To promote and provide free adult literacy services throughout the Yukon

Our Mission is:

To provide appropriate services to Yukon adults with literacy needs, which contribute to their ability to reach personal goals and to reach full potential by providing free and personalized services.

Our primary focus is to offer free, one-to-one tutoring to learners hoping to improve their reading, writing, math or computer skills.

We have an Education Center that provides for library use, scheduled computer classes or drop in services.

We are active in the Yukon Communities by providing seed funding for literacy programming, we work closely with Yukon First Nations and their communities offering targeted onsite literacy training.

We also work with literacy stakeholders to develop and deliver adult literacy services.
